Resource Kit for American Indians/Alaska Natives
CJ Foundation for SIDS contracted with Okiciya to create a targeted SIDS Risk Reduction Resource Kit for American Indians and Alaska Natives, who experience incidents of SIDS at 2.6 times the rate of the general population.
Along with a resource manual and video CD, Okiciya produced a multimedia resource CD which offered instructors and students a wide variety of learning tools to use and share.
From the production of 10,000 kits, about 7000 were distributed to health agencies and providers in Indian Country and worldwide.
Okiciya provided the distribution services and ongoing messaging and awareness media to facilitate distribution of the remaining kits which were offered free of charge through the CJ Foundation for SIDS website.
