Native American Training Institute (NATI) needed to create educational tools to help at risk youth and families.
What You Should Know: Foster Care Orientation for Youth is an interactive CD Okiciya developed for youth entering foster care. It gives a straightforward message about foster care - from what to expect, to your rights under law, to help handling emotions and developing a support team.
Audio clips from kids who have been through the foster care experience are used to supplement the text. Wraparound in Indian Country uses video demonstrations and text to explain the steps involved in the wraparound process.
The CD explains rights and responsibilities of participants and suggests steps toward a positive outcome.
