From the teachings of their elders and years of practicing brain tanning of big game hides, Edna & Willie Paul of Alberta, Canada became masters in this traditional art.
Okiciya and KAT Productions partnered with the Pauls to create a legacy of their art in an instructional video and teaching manual. The video introduces you to this generations old technique through step by step demonstration as you see a wild animal hide become a beautiful soft piece of leather.
The teaching manual breaks the process into five days of instruction, with lists of supplies, illustrations and photographs to help students through the process.
